The “CLEAN ENERGY” event, the second learning, teaching, and training activity of our project, was graciously hosted from October 2-6, 2023, by Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa im. M. Konopnickiej in Olkowicach, Poland. This session brought together students and teachers from our partner countries, focusing on completing project tasks and evaluating the results within the clean energy theme.
Beyond the educational objectives, the event was a vibrant cultural exchange adventure. Participants had the unique opportunity to visit an Apple Orchard, where they experienced the joy of picking apples directly from the trees—an engaging way to connect with nature and understand the importance of sustainable farming practices.
The journey continued with a visit to the historic Salt Mine in Wieliczka, Kraków. Here, participants delved deep into the earth to explore the mine’s intricate chambers and learn about the historical and contemporary significance of salt mining in Poland.
The adventure didn’t stop there; the group then traveled to Kazimierz Dolny, a picturesque town known for its art and history. A highlight was a cruise on the Wisła River, offering stunning views and a peaceful reflection on the importance of preserving our natural waterways. The exploration of Gorge Korzeniowy Dol provided an immersive experience in the beauty and tranquility of Polish natural landscapes.
This leg of our project not only advanced our educational goals within the realm of clean energy but also enriched all participants with cultural insights and a deeper appreciation for the natural environment.
