Izmir Meeting Highlights: Progress and Exploration

The second Transnational Project Meeting of the LISTEN project was successfully held on October 6-7, 2022, in the vibrant city of Izmir, Turkey, at the Ege University Foundation Private Narlıdere Secondary School. This gathering provided a pivotal moment for partners to come together, assess progress, and share insights on the children’s books each team is diligently crafting to educate about climate change and environmental protection.

During the meeting, each partner had the opportunity to present their work, facilitating a rich exchange of ideas and best practices. This collaborative review was instrumental in ensuring the project remains aligned with our shared objectives of fostering environmental awareness among young learners.

Beyond the formal discussions, the meeting also offered a cultural exchange component. The participants had the delightful opportunity to visit Urla and Foca, two historic towns in the vicinity of Izmir. These visits not only allowed for relaxation and team bonding but also served as a firsthand experience of the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty our project aims to protect.

This meeting underscored the importance of our transnational cooperation in shaping a more sustainable future and provided renewed motivation for the exciting work ahead.
